Man, 46, charged with manslaughter after ‘wonderful’ woman, 75, killed during ‘burglary’

A MAN has been charged following the death of a 75-year-old woman in an alleged burglary. Police were called to a property in North London on the evening of Tuesday, August 11 to reports of a burglary. 75-year-old Rose Smith was taken to hospital shortly after, where she tragically died the following day. It is believed an 81-year-old man was also treated at the Finsbury Park location before being taken to hospital. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Jeffrey Dean Rose, 46, was arrested in connection with the investigation, cops said. He has since been charged with manslaughter and aggravated burglary with intent and will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, August 25. Paying tribute, Rose’s heartbroken family said: “This is the most devastating loss our family could ever have imagined. “Rose was a truly wonderful, outgoing woman who was loved by so many people. “She loved bingo, going to cafés with her friends and, above all, spending time with her family. “She treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.
