Man, 40, arrested on suspicion of rape after horror attack in UK town centre

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was allegedly attacked in a busy UK town centre. Police were scrambled to reports of a serious sexual assault in Kimberley, Nottinghamshire, on August 19. A 40-year-old man was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident. Nottinghamshire Police said: “A man has been arrested after police received a report of a serious sexual assault. “The incident was reported to officers on 19 August and a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape. He has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue. “The complainant is being supported by specially trained officers and detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.” Anyone with information that may assist police in their probe is asked to contact the force immediately.
