Male pronounced dead after hit and run accident in Groton on Friday

A male victim was pronounced dead after being hit by a car in Groton on Friday night. At around 11:15 p.m., emergency crews received a call that a black SUV was fleeing the scene after hitting a person on Toll Gate Road. Upon arrival, the Groton Police Department located the victim laying on the side of the road and receiving treatment from a witness who was also an EMT.
