As is the case with pretty much every TCG at the moment, Magic: The Gathering is home to plenty of highly sought-after and costly cards. Without a doubt, the most famous example of this is The One Ring card from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set. Since there was only one Mythic Rare version of the card, it quickly became the most exclusive card in all of MTG. The One Ring was already making headlines when it was first announced, but the story took an even more interesting turn when it was discovered in a MAXimum Cards and Collectibles store in Whitby and then purchased by Post Malone for $2 million. We’ve not heard much about the card since, which made its appearance on Game Knights a very nice surprise. Post Malone Just Reminded Us All Of His $2 Million One Ring Card "Our Insurance Doesn't Cover That Card" The most recent episode of YouTube channel The Command Zone’s Game Knights featured a very cool guest in the form of Post Malone, who is a known player of Magic: The Gathering (unlike some card collectors I won’t name). At one point in the episode, Posty decides to break everyone’s brain by pulling out his One Ring card like it’s no big deal. Post Malone was handed The One Ring that was "somewhere around here" and, instead of just showing it off to the rest of Game Knights or wearing it on a necklace like a buffoon, he actually ended up using it in the match. After pulling it out of the “obnoxious” plastic box that’s keeping it safe from the world, Malone triggered the card and gained protection, before directly quoting Lord of the Rings. This is your reminder that, as well as being a fantastic musician, Post Malone is just an amazing and incredibly likeable person. You rock that One Ring, Posty. Considering how ridiculously valuable the card is (likely even more so now that it’s been in Malone’s possession for a few years), it’s really nice to actually get to see it being used in an MTG match and not just locked in a vault after making headlines.
