M62 closed after vehicle crashes and overturns – sparking lengthy delays and huge emergency response

A MAJOR motorway has been shut after a vehicle crashed and overturned, sparking travel chaos. The M62 was closed on the eastbound carriageway between junction 11 and junction 12. Motorists were seen stuck in traffic after a crash left a vehicle overturned The M62 is shut with huge delays eastbound There is around one mile of congestion with delays of 10 minutes on the approach, said National Highways. The collision is reported to have happened just before 1pm. The eastbound carriageway is shut between junction 11 for Birchwood and junction 12 for the Eccles Interchange. Motorists have also been warned to plan ahead with their journeys today. Drivers were told to avoid the area where possible and be aware of alternative routes.
