The Bethany Platt actress has confirmed the couple are aiming to get married in 2028, although it seems there is still plenty to organise before they walk down the aisle. Lucy, 30, shared the update while discussing her wedding preparations in a new collaboration with wedding planning platform Hitched. While their wedding may still be some time away, the mum-of-two admitted she is already starting to tackle the lengthy list of jobs that come with organising the celebration. She said: ‘We are getting married in 2028 and we’re still very early in our wedding planning, but there are lots of things to get organised, so let’s do it!’ Lucy also joked about just how much work lies ahead as she shared the video with her followers. Making my way through the list with @hitcheduk + their Wedding Passport… honeymoon fund pending.’ The wedding will mark another major milestone for Lucy and Ryan, who already share two children together. The video was accompanied by a remix of ABBA’s Slipping Through My Fingers, with Lucy paying tribute to their friendship in the caption. She wrote: ‘We have been with each other through every chapter and I can’t wait for you to be my maid of honour @livgregs.’ The wedding planning comes during a busy period for Blackpool-born Lucy, who has become a familiar face to millions of Coronation Street viewers. She first stepped onto the famous cobbles as Bethany Platt in 2015 and remained in the role for five years before departing in 2020.
