London weather: Met Office predicts 'very warm spells' for capital in September

The extraordinary heatwaves of the summer are finally behind us - but London looks set to enjoy more hot weather in the coming days and weeks.It predicts "warm spells" in the south in the second half of September, with "very warm" weather possible in the next couple of weeks. Temperatures in London are expected to rise to 25C in the middle of the week, setting off a glorious run warm and largely dry weather through until the start of next week.
