Linux 7.3 Input Subsystem Updates Merged With Security Fixes, Other Improvements

The big set of input subsystem updates were merged earlier this week for the Linux 7.3 cycle. It's a random assortment of different improvements as well as bug/security fixes driven in part by the flow of AI/LLM generated discoveries. Among the many input updates, the Synaptics RMI4 driver is updated for Linux 7.3 to now use touchscreen dimensions from the platform data where available. The Synaptics driver is now enabling InterTouch SMBus mode for the Dell Inspiron 3521 laptop. There is a new driver for the Imagis ISA1200 haptic motor driver IC used in mobile phones and tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. And on the security side, the Linux psmouse driver has been hardened against a potential after use-after-free in the protocol disconnect code. There are also other PS/2 driver fixes such as for possible under-flows in the FocalTech PS/2 driver. When it comes to the input core code, there are improvements to opening, closing, and inhibiting of devices to ensure that input devices are fully ready before delivering events. Plus many other input fixes as outlined in the input pull request that was merged already for the Linux 7.3 window.
