Inspired by polished gemstones, the glossy shade pairs black enamel with light-gold details for one of Le Creuset’s most sophisticated collections yet.The Le Creuset Onyx collection includes the brand’s Signature Round Dutch Oven, Signature Round Deep Oven, Signature Braiser, Signature Skillet, Mini Round Cocotte and Classic Whistling Kettle. Prices vary by product and size, with the 5.5-quart Signature Round Dutch Oven priced at $455.Onyx looks similar to Le Creuset’s matte black Licorice collection, but with a silky, reflective finish that gives the cookware a polished look. The high-gloss exterior creates a sharp contrast against the sand-colored interior of the Dutch ovens and braiser, while the black-and-gold color scheme feels especially fitting for Halloween.Several pieces also feature Le Creuset’s light-gold Crucible Knob, which was inspired by the vessel used to forge the brand’s cast-iron cookware. The sculpted knob gives the Dutch ovens and braiser a more distinctive look than the standard stainless steel version. Gold-tone hardware also appears on the Classic Whistling Kettle.Signature Round Dutch OvenLe Creuset's Signature Round Dutch Oven is now available in the brand's new glossy jet black colorway: Onyx.Buy NowRELATED: Le Creuset’s new Star Trek collection is made for the final frontierThe collection covers several cooking needs. The Signature Round Dutch Oven can handle soups, stews, roasts and bread, while the deeper oven provides additional vertical space for larger recipes. Smaller pieces include the Mini Round Cocotte for individual servings, dips and desserts.Onyx joins Le Creuset’s extensive color lineup alongside shades such as Cerise, Flame, Nectar, Sea Salt, Nuit, Oyster and Château.
