The NFL’s transaction report for Saturday shows that the Rams have released Tomon Fox and Monty Rice. Both players signed with the Rams as free agents this offseason and are now free to sign with other teams. The Rams also waived defensive back Alex Cook, linebacker Devean Deal, wide receiver Tru Edwards, defensive back Steven Gilmore, defensive back Al’zillion Hamilton, offensive tackle Bryce Henderson, linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, defensive back Alex Johnson, tight end Rohan Jones, defensive back Nate Valcarcel, tight end Dan Villari, and defensive tackle Payton Zdroik.Quarterback Matthew Caldwell was placed on injured reserve to round out the moves. With 16 players off the active roster and punter Jack Bouwmeester on the roster with an exemption as an international player, the Rams have 22 moves left to hit the 53-player limit.
