Lamar Jackson ruled out, Tyler Huntley to start vs. Falcons

Published October 9, 2026 01:37 PM The Ravens will officially be playing their backup quarterback when they take on the Falcons on Sunday. Head coach Jesse Minter told reporters in his Friday press conference that Jackson is out with the ankle injury he suffered last week, which means Tyler “Snoop” Huntely will start at QB. Edge rusher Trey Hendrickson (finger) also won’t play on Sunday. “Both of them, feel really good maybe headed after this week,” Minter said. “But that’s the way we’ll be. A ton of confidence in Snoop to play really well. I think everybody on the team is excited to see that and [for] him to have this opportunity.” Could Jackson play next week when the Ravens take on the Browns? That’s still to be determined. “It’s always going to be in the best interest of the player,” Minter said on Jackson’s timeline to return. “And the timing of it, just knowing probably today that this was going to be the scenario. To Lamar’s credit, he’s working his tail off to get back. So I think, don’t know the specifics of next week. But I know he’ll be doing everything in his power to get back.” Jackson has completed 70.8 percent of his throws for 967 yards with six touchdowns and one interception so far in 2026. He leads the league in yards per attempt (10.1) and yards per completion (14.2). Hendrickson has recorded one sack and three QB hits in three games so far this year. The Ravens full injury report with game statuses will be released later on Friday.
