Alan Cayetano’s claims, saying that he had no budget insertions since becoming a senator after the latter alleged that his net worth had doubled. Lacson said Saturday that his net worth in his 2025 Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net worth (SALN) did not double compared to 2022 when he left the Senate. Actually, the increase is more than four times at P244.9M compared to P50.7M in 2022 – the year I left government,” Lacson, speaking in a mix of Filipino and English, stated in a post in X. The statement comes after Cayetano alleged during a Facebook live at 11:57 a.m that Lacson, as well as Sen. Erwin Tulfo’s net worth increased twofold. “The same goes for Senator Lacson, and actually, I didn’t really pay that much attention but it seems like his SALN has doubled, he said because of business,” Cayetano said in Filipino. Lacson, moreover, explained that the earnings he received were through legitimate real estate deals and other businesses. “Whatever money I have, I definitely earned legitimately through some real estate deals and other legitimate businesses with 2 other business partners as a private individual, and I paid P10.5M and P2.8M respectively as reflected in my ITR’s.” Article continues after this advertisement He further accused Cayetano of having a P6.79 billion budget insertion under the 2025 General Appropriations Act. He added that he did not receive a 25% kickback at slope protection and other infrastructure projects, subsequently saying, “I don’t know about him.” “And especially I don’t have 25% kickback in slope protection and other infra [infrastructure] projects. I don’t about him, but I have consistently refused lobby monies in relation to my job as a legislator,” Lacson said. Erwin Tulfo, who is the chairman of the Senate blue committee, are being biased and following orders from Malacañang. “And yes, regarding the Blue Ribbon hearings, he shouldn’t be impatient; there’s also a ghost [project] in Taguig,” Lacson said partly in Filipino. /jpv Your subscription could not be saved.
