Kyle Van Noy joins the Vikings' practice squad

Kyle Van Noy is staying in purple.The veteran linebacker is signing with the Vikings’ practice squad, via Tom Pelissero of Netflix.The move reunites Van Noy with defensive coordinator Brian Flores. They spent four years together in New England, winning a pair of Super Bowls. In 2020, Van Noy signed with the Dolphins, when Flores was the head coach.The move comes after three years for the 35-year-old Van Noy in Baltimore.A second-round pick of the Lions in 2014, Van Noy has appeared in 173 regular-season games with 115 starts. He has 57.0 career sacks.He brings to Minnesota a thorough knowledge of the Flores system, which will make it easy for him to get up to speed — and to help some of the younger players figure out how to run it the way Flores wants it to be run.
