ByMIRIAM SELA-EITAMJULY 19, 2026 11:50Sirens sounded once again on Sunday morning in Kuwait and Bahrain following renewed Iranian attacks on its neighboring Gulf states. Early Sunday morning, Kuwait's military announced that the country activated its air defenses against "sinful Iranian aggression" on X/Twitter, noting that any explosions heard are the result of missile interceptions. The Kuwaiti military further requested that civilians follow security guidelines issued by the authorities. Two hours later, Bahrain's Interior Ministry said sirens had been activated and urged citizens to remain calm and head to the nearest shelter. The sirens follow the eighth night of US-Iran strikes over the weekend, triggered by the death of two US service members in Iran's strike on a US military base in Jordan on Friday.
