Katie Price could be forced to stay married to Lee Andrews for Christmas despite bitter public fallout

KATIE Price looks set to spend Christmas as Lee Andrews’ wife despite both parties being keen for a divorce. The 48-year-old model appeared on Good Morning Britain yesterday and admitted she’s had enough of Lee’s lies. The final straw came when she discovered a crypto account he claimed contained £37m had just £2.20 in it. He also said Katie wasn’t tech-savvy and had looked in the wrong account, insisting he is a multi-millionaire. The messy split is complicated further by Lee being holed up in Dubai’s Al Awir prison for an alleged civil matter, though he insists he will be released soon. She said: “English law prevents filing for divorce until 12 months are up, so Katie may have to wait. Lee’s incarceration could add further complications and make it harder to progress the case.” Katie insisted yesterday that she didn’t care if Lee was wealthy or not but the lies were the driving force behind her decision to end the marriage. The mum-of-five was once worth £40m before being hit with multiple bankruptcies. It is now estimated she is worth between £500,000 and £1m after becoming a hit on OnlyFans, taking part in a successful theatre tour and landing a high-profile Sky docuseries. Most read in Showbiz She said that Lee has never conned her out of money and spent his own cash on their date nights, jewellery and her flights. Conman Lee previously claimed he’d purchased a £36m house for the couple in cash and had put forward a bit to buy Chelsea Football Club. While Katie said a ring he bought for her that he claimed was worth £72,000 was actually only worth £5,000. Susie says the legal process will finally uncover the state of Lee’s finances. “If Lee really is worth £37m, contrary to reports, Katie could mount a significant financial claim despite the short marriage. If he has no real money to his name, then the opposite could be true,” she said. “In English financial proceedings, Lee would have to provide full and frank disclosure. He cannot simply claim to be worth nothing if the evidence says otherwise, and deliberately hiding or misrepresenting assets can have serious consequences.” Meanwhile, Lee said that he hasn’t “pulled the wool over anyone’s eyes” nor has he “thrown Katie under the bus”. However, he said he felt Katie had sold him out and profited financially from their relationship. He said: “I do feel that that happened to me and it looks like there’s profit to be made on her side and obviously it’s something that happened recently while I’ve been doing civil jail – I’ve not been convicted of any crimes nor am I a criminal.” Comment now
