After confronting the culprit, the cake robber meekly apologised to baker Jade Walton and handed back the sweet treats. Ms Walton, who runs JD Bakes in Clay Cross, Derbyshire, spotted the crook helping himself to £9.80 worth of goodies on October 19. The unnamed man was filmed pulling his coat above his face as he stuffed the desserts into his bag. The hungry raider stole lemon drizzle cake, a slice of raspberry ripple and a chocolate brownie before fleeing.
