The run brings together Barnes with Jon Stevens, who performs his Noiseworks & INXS Collection, alongside Birds of Tokyo, Eskimo Joe, Baby Animals, Chocolate Starfish and Sarah McLeod — the latter appearing in a new rock duo with drummer Mick Skelton. The tour opens Jan. 9 with a Sounds By The River show at Mannum Golf Club in South Australia before rolling through Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania, wrapping March 6 at Gateway Lakes in Wodonga. Barnes remains one of the most successful artists in Australian music history, with 22 No. 1 albums on the ARIA chart — more than any other local act — across a career spanning more than four decades as a solo performer and as the frontman of Cold Chisel. He is a two-time ARIA Hall of Fame inductee, honored both with Cold Chisel and as a solo artist. He returned to No. 1 in June 2025 with his 21st solo studio album Defiant, and recently marked the 40th anniversary of his landmark 1985 album For the Working Class Man. Stevens’ set draws on hits from both Noiseworks and INXS, including “Take Me Back,” “Touch,” “New Sensation” and “Never Tear Us Apart.” Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 9 at 12 p.m. local time, following Telstra and promoter presales earlier in the week.
