The probe has already led to multiple arrests, while the state government's decision to cancel the examination was later stayed by the Jharkhand High Court.In a statement issued on Sunday night, the CID said, "In connection with the JSSC-CGL competitive examination, Sameer Kumar, a resident of Bengabad in Giridih district, has been arrested."The agency had on Friday arrested four successful candidates of the JSSC-CGL examination held in 2024. On Thursday, it had arrested two other accused in connection with the case. Earlier, the state probe agency had arrested the main accused, Abhay Tiwari, on July 22. At the time, he was posted as a block supply officer in Poriyahat in Godda district. His wife, Sushama Kumari, and brother, Akshay Tiwari, were arrested on August 18.The Jharkhand government had earlier announced the cancellation of several recruitment tests, including the JSSC-CGL-2023 conducted on September 21 and 22, 2024, following protests by job aspirants over alleged irregularities in the examination.
