JetBlue Cancels 13 International Nonstop Routes: See Full List Now

As part of this, and influenced by the exit of the now-defunct Spirit Airlines, it has really focused on growing at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Significantly, JetBlue now has more flights from the Florida airport than it does from New York JFK or Boston. The airline's network has seen many changes recently. For example, so far this year, JetBlue has ceased 13 international routes. All are to the Caribbean, Mexico, or Central America, although there are big questions about whether another European route will end. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Ponce, in Puerto Rico, as that country is a US territory and the route was domestic. Flights ended in January this year after being served for 21 years. As JFK remains JetBlue's leading international gateway, particularly for short-haul operations, nearly half of the eliminated markets (six) are from the Big Apple's busiest airport. Perhaps unsurprisingly, most of the links only launched fairly recently. Nine were inaugurated between 2020 and 2025, including all but one from JFK and all but one from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). JetBlue grew significantly at EWR during the COVID-19 pandemic. Freed-up aircraft enabled the carrier to test out things that it might not have ever done. Cirium Diio data shows that JetBlue had an average of 44 daily departures from EWR in 2021 (domestic and international), which has fallen to about 15 for 2026. Total international activity from the New Jersey airport has fallen by 90% in the same period. Only one international route remains (Santiago, in the Dominican Republic). The airline has moved away from EWR to where it believes it can win. JetBlue's San Pedro Sula Flights Did Not Last Long Credit: JetBlue Once renowned as the world's most dangerous city, with 20+ murders a day, San Pedro Sula is located not far from the northern coast of Honduras. It is the second most populous city in the Central American nation. The US Department of State recommends passengers 'reconsider travel' to Honduras due to the overall rate of crime, gang activity, and violence. Of course, most passengers are Honduran Americans or the Honduran diaspora. When all airlines are included, booking data suggests that more than 1.6 million people flew between the US and Honduras in the 12 months to May 2026 (4,300+ daily). The carrier flew daily on the A320, with an overnight flight back to the Big Apple. It was, at the time, one of two airlines on the airport pair, coexisting with Avianca, but that carrier pulled out in January 2026. United Airlines continues to operate between EWR and SAP. JetBlue served JFK-SAP between June 2025 and May 2026. The US Department of Transportation shows that the airline carried 70,070 round-trip passengers, but only filled 68.1% of the available seats. Only four months had a load factor that exceeded 70.0%. While fare and yield information is unavailable, it is no wonder the route was cut. JetBlue still operates between FLL and SAP. And it is 17% lower than the record for November, which was set in 2024 (110 daily). JetBlue's international services are from JFK (an average of 38 daily departures this month), followed by FLL (27), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS; 12), Orlando (six), San Juan (in the US territory of Puerto Rico; six), EWR (one) and Tampa (one). Compared to November 2025, JFK's international activity has reduced by a quarter, while FLL is up by 63% to the highest level in seven years.
