Jessica Shepard Wins WNBA's Most Improved Player Award
Dallas Wings forward Jessica Shepard won the WNBA's Most Improved Player award on Wednesday. Shepard averaged 14.5 points and 11.1 rebounds in her sixth season in the league. She had never averaged more than 8.1 points in five previous seasons with the Lynx. Shepard recorded 25 double-doubles this season, along with six triple-doubles. The Mystics' Shakira Austin and the Fire's Carla Leite rounded out the top three in votes.
