Jay-Z Upgrades L.A. Concert With Blue Ivy Carter's Surprise Appearance

Beyoncé's Daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi Get in Formation for a Rare Appearance With Their MomWho run the world? Well, that would be Blue Ivy Carter. Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter proved yet again that the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree as she made a surprise appearance onstage during her dad’s concert in Inglewood, Calif., Oct. 23. Indeed, the 14-year-old got in formation during the first of two weekend shows in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint, joining the music mogul onstage to help him perform “The Story of OJ” and “Dead Presidents.” Blue took the stage in a red and blue leather jacket, denim jeans and Timberland boots, accessorizing her look with gold jewelry, per footage of the performance shared to social media. Though there were 99 reasons to love her look, which also included a bold eyeshadow look and glowy blush, it was Blue’s skills on the keys that made her cameo simply irreplaceable. But no one puts their love on top for Blue more than her parents. As the teen’s performance ended, the “Run This Town” rapper asked fans to make some noise for his “most incredible” daughter, who gave her dad a hug before bowing and blowing kisses to the crowd before strutting off the stage. And it’s clear the event was a family affair as Beyoncé—who also shares 9-year-old twins Rumi and Sir with Jay-Z—was also in the house. Indeed, the “Love on Top” singer was seen jamming out to Jay-Z’s set in a suite with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Recently, Kelly shared insight into what it’s like raising her and husband Tim Weatherspoon’s sons Titan, 11, and Noah, 5, alongside Bey and her brood. “It's so crazy that that's a thing,” Rowland told E! News in an interview published Sept. 23 about the duo having teens and pre-teens. “We noticed that this summer and how they're all just growing up so beautifully.”Photo by Francis Specker/CBS via Getty Images“It's a blessing to be able to share a lifetime of love with my sisters,” she continued. “All of them.” And it’s as equally irreplaceable to witness Blue’s musical artistry, a gift she’s showed off onstage with both parents over the years. “Blue is a crazy pianist, but she won’t let us get her a teacher,” Jay-Z told GQ in March. “She doesn’t want it to be a job. But she has perfect pitch. If she hears a song, she’ll be like ‘Play it again.’ and then she’ll teach herself.” “That’s just talent, she doesn’t work at that,” he added. “She worked at this, and it makes me proud that she fought for something that she really wanted to do.” Keep reading for more about Blue’s life in and out of the spotlight…For the latest breaking news updates, click here to download the E!
