The actress confessed during a panel attended by People that she and Lando, who respectively played Dr. Michaela “Mike” Quinn and Byron Sully between 1993 and 1998, “really fell in love” on the set of the Western drama. “That’s a secret,” she shared with the audience before acknowledging it was “not a secret anymore.” Jane Seymour spoke about her and “Dr. Quinn” co-star Joe Landi’s real-life romance at 90s Con over the weekend. She went on to welcome twins John and Kristopher, now 30, with James Keach after she and Lando called it quits — and joked over the weekend that she sure “showed him.” Lando, for his part, welcomed four kids — Jack, Christian, Kate, and William — with wife Kirsten Barlow, whom he wed in 1997. His failed romance with Seymour helped bring the pair’s characters “sexual tension that [they] wouldn’t have had if [they’d] been playing happy households or something,” the latter told Us Weekly when first discussing the romance in 2019. “Dr. Quinn” ran from 1993 to 1998, with Seymour and Lando reprising their roles for TV movies in 1991 and 2001. ©CBS/Courtesy Everett Collection They last shared the screen in 2022. ©CBS/Courtesy Everett Collection “We didn’t actually talk to each other, other than in dialogue or making out for about six or seven years,” she revealed of the “difficult” and “tough” experience. Seymour continued, “We, obviously, clearly loved one another and realized we couldn’t be actually in real-life together. I think we just played it [off] as Michaela and Sully.” The series, notably, wrapped with two TV movies in 1999 and 2001 — and the ex-colleagues are now close friends.
