The couple explained that something woke them up and the police told them that someone had broken in next door and they needed to get into their home. Jamie said: “I’m not going to say who it is, but we have a high-profile person living on our street. So we were like, “Okay, this is mega”. I was terrified. They were like, ‘Don’t worry about it, mate’. They go out. No one’s there.” Jamie continued: ‘I was s******g myself. I was terrified. These guys came into the house. It’s like policemen in your house. It was quite intense.” Once the police officers left, Jamie rushed after them to come back and search their basement and check for anything suspicious. If that chased after you, I would play dead on the ground. “It was so ready to take anyone down that its owner was, like, holding it back. It was enormous.” Jamie added: “Anyway they checked the whole house. No-ne was there . No-ne had broken in. It was a complete false alarm but it was absolutely exhilarating.” Last year, the couple revealed that they had been robbed again – just one week after a break- in at Jamie’s London home. The couple were left spooked when they spotted the door to their car left ajar. He explained on his radio show: “So, I live in London, I was with my wife Sophie and we went to get in our car. It’s parked around the place we live, and it’s London right, things maybe go missing occasionally or whatever. “I walked up to the car, and the car looked a little bit funny, the door was slightly open, and I was like, ‘hang on a second, has someone managed to get into the car?’ Came up to the car and we had been robbed.” This came a few days after Sophie revealed she and Jamie had been left shaken after an intruder attempted to burgle their home in the middle of the night. They were forced to flee their Notting Hill flat before police rushed in to deal with the situation – with the Jamie forced to hide from the thief naked. Fortunately, law enforcement arrived swiftly – and in impressive numbers. “Can I just say that 10 policemen came? It was unbelievable. Maybe there were two vans of policemen. Like, serious, they were so amazing,” she said. “The guy climbed through a pub, he then put loads of furniture up to try and find…” Sophie began, before Melissa interjected, “So he broke into the pub first?” “Broke into the pub, climbed over there, all to get to our flat, which is just f*****g creepy,” Sophie confirmed.
