James Talarico returns to campaign trail at ACL festival after illness spurred GOP calls for “proof of life”

James Talarico has re-emerged on the campaign trail at the Austin City Limits festival after a nine-day absence that sparked Republican attacks, including from Ken Paxton’s campaign, questioning his health and commitment. This absence led to GOP calls for "proof of life," highlighting the intense scrutiny candidates face during tight races. Talarico's return underscores the pressure and personal toll of political campaigns, especially when health issues come into play. His comeback also aims to restore confidence among supporters and voters in his health and campaign vigor.
