Glen Powell sees his hit TV-MA comedy series reach the end of a glorious era on streaming after recently returning with a new season that included a shocking genre change towards its later episodes. Powell's list of movies and TV shows is one of the busiest in Hollywood. Ever since the actor had his breakout role opposite names like Tom Cruise and Miles Teller in Top Gun: Maverick, Powell has been everywhere. The actor has starred in high-profile movies like Hit Man, Anyone but You alongside Sydney Sweeney, the disaster franchise entry Twisters, the animated video game adaptation The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and more. On TV, most of Powell's roles came before his meteoric rise with Top Gun: Maverick. The actor has appeared in shows like the Ryan Murphy slasher comedy series Scream Queens, the Netflix animated Jurassic Park franchise spin-off series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, the sci-fi animated hit Rick and Morty, and more. In 2025, Powell co-created the sports comedy series Chad Powers with Loki's Michael Waldron for Hulu, with the show being renewed for season 2, which aired recently, and Powell's TV-MA series has now met the end of an era on streaming a month after its latest episodes were released on the streaming service. Glen Powell's Chad Powers Has Lots Its Top 10 Spot At The Worst Time At the time of writing, Chad Powers is no longer on Disney+'s Top 10 TV shows chart in the United States, according to data from FlixPatrol. The sports comedy series was last seen on the streaming service's coveted chart on October 1, where it was Disney+'s 7th most-watched TV show nationwide. On its last day on the Disney+ chart in the US, Powell's Chad Powers ranked higher than shows like Welcome to the Family: The Murder of Dan Markel, R.J. Decker, and Superkitties. Interestingly, right above it was Marvel Studios' Loki, at 6th, the show Chad Powers' Waldron created. While Chad Powers is no longer on the Disney+ chart, Waldron's Marvel series remains, with Loki now at 7th on the streaming service nationwide. That list is currently led by the crime series The Drop: A Snowfall Saga. That said, according to FlixPatrol, Waldron's MCU TV show starring Tom Hiddleston is an even bigger global hit, with Loki currently the most-watched Disney+ series worldwide, likely in connection to a certain new Avengers: Endgame Encore post-credits scene. As for Chad Powers, the comedy series falling off Disney+'s Top 10 TV shows chart in the US, comes as its fate hangs in the balance. Will The Show Return For Season 3? Powell's Chad Powers has yet to be renewed for season 3. However, the one-month wait is not reason to worry at the moment, given that Chad Powers season 1 debuted on September 30, 2025, and the sports comedy series was only renewed for season 2 that December. Due to how Chad Powers season 2 released all of its six episodes on September 3, a similar timeframe could be in play here, perhaps with a season 3 renewal or a cancellation announcement coming by November, at the earliest. Chad Powers still has time to resurge on Disney+.
