As part of its India product roadmap, Motohaus plans to introduce three models in a phased manner: the Italjet Dragster 300, Dragster 459 and Dragster 700. All three models will be assembled at Motohaus India's manufacturing facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, bringing Italjet's distinctive Italian engineering and design philosophy closer to Indian customers.Customer deliveries are expected to commence from Q2 2027, with further details regarding the product lineup, India-specific specifications, pricing and availability to be announced at a later date. The company also plans to retail the scooters through an exclusive boutique showroom concept, promising a more premium and distinctive buying experience. The Dragster 300 will serve as the entry point into the Italjet range in India, with prices expected to be in the region of Rs 4-5 lakh. And if first impressions are anything to go by, this is certainly no ordinary scooter. Its design is unapologetically radical, with the chassis exposed at several sections, lending it a distinctive mechanical appeal. The sharply styled front end looks particularly striking, while the centrepiece is Italjet's signature single-sided steering system, which sets it apart from conventional scooters. The exposed handlebar further adds to its unique moto-scooter character. The instrument console is a compact digital unit that is easy to read and packs in a comprehensive range of information. Add the muscular bodywork and chunky tyres, and the Dragster 300 has an imposing road presence. The hardware is equally interesting. The Dragster 300 gets hlins suspension and a high-performance Akrapovi exhaust, which is also expected to be homologated for the Indian market along with the rest of the scooter. Power comes from a 298cc engine producing 23.8bhp and 26Nm of torque. The scooter rides on a 12-inch front wheel and a larger 13-inch unit at the rear. With its radical styling, premium hardware and distinctive engineering, the Italjet Dragster 300 promises to be an interesting addition to India's premium scooter segment.
