Ghostbusters: Nightmare on 34th Street According to a new rumor from insider Daniel Richtman (via Ghostbusters News), Sony is developing a new live-action Ghostbusters film from screenwriter Josh Miller (Sonic the Hedgehog, Violent Night) titled Ghostbusters: Nightmare on 34 Street. Carrying Variety reports a film adaptation of Carrying, Samantha Josephs’ yet-to-be-released debut horror novel, is now in development at Good Girl Productions. Directed by Tommy Dorfman from a script by Josephs’ herself, the synopsis reads: “Martha is trans, so stealth even her family has no idea. She carved the woman she is out of the marble of a boy, and she’ll do whatever it takes to protect what she’s built. When a mysterious chronic illness and its debilitating symptoms threaten to upend her existence, she starts experimental treatments and gives in to her surprising, unsettling cravings.
