Israeli forces shot two Palestinians in the head with rubber-coated metal bullets in Ras Karkar, a village west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, injuring both, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, citing local sources. The two were trying to cross an iron gate separating the village’s land from that of neighbouring Kharbatha Bani Harith, the sources told Wafa. They were taken to Ramallah for treatment. Israeli forces have long kept the road connecting the villages closed with the gate, preventing Palestinian vehicles from passing and forcing residents to take alternative routes or cross on foot, Wafa reported.
