Speaking to reporters and fans at the movie’s promotional event in Bengaluru on Thursday (October 15, 2026), the KGF actor discussed the film’s budget.Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer have composed the music for the pan-Indian film. Ramayana is a two-part movie, with the first instalment hitting the screens in November 2026.“My partner Namit isn’t here today. He is currently occupied with the film’s business-related work in the US while we have kick-started our promotions in India,” Yash said, before opening up about the chatter around Namit’s claim of the project being made on ₹4000 crore.“I know that Namit’s statement went viral on social media,” said Yash. Trade pundits have argued about the possibility of an Indian production recovering a huge budget of ₹4000 crore.“In India, there is a problem. People don’t like it when you talk confidently. That’s what happened with Namit’s statement. But in the West, it’s the total opposite. If you tell them we have made a good movie in a humble manner, they will dismiss our film as a small project. That’s exactly why Namit has confidently said that this movie is mounted on ₹4000 crore. We need to prove the strength of the Indian film industry to the global market,” Yash explained.ALSO READ: All the international talent working on Ranbir Kapoor-Yash starrer ‘Ramayana’The makers have released a new trailer on the Sony Pictures Entertainment YouTube channel.
