Is Eva leaving Coronation Street and does she die? Latest twist explained as she’s pushed

Eva Price was pushed down the stairs in tonight’s Coronation Street (Picture: ITV) Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) took a tumble in Coronation Street tonight when she was pushed down the stairs by – spoiler alert – Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan). The fall looked to be quite serious, with Eva ending up unconscious on the cellar floor, while Sam watched on in horror. But is this the end for the Rovers’ landlady? Is actress Catherine Tyldesley set to bow out of the ITV soap? Is Sam set to become a killer? Does Eva Price die in Coronation Street and is Catherine Tyldesley leaving? Fortunately, it looks as though Eva is not set to be killed off, if spoiler pictures for upcoming scenes are anything to go by. What happens next in Coronation Street? In tomorrow’s (Friday, September 25) instalment of the ITV soap, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) is set to stumble across Eva lying lifeless at the bottom of the stairs, after being directed to the pub by Sam. However, when Debbie goes outside to get help, she gets confused, and Eva is left in the cellar until Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) arrives and calls an ambulance. When Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) tells Debbie about the ambulance outside the pub, Debbie suddenly remembers seeing Eva. Who’s to blame for Eva’s ‘fall’? Tonight’s episode revealed that young Sam was the one who pushed Eva, but he doesn’t seem to be the main suspect as DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) begins the investigation next week. While a worried Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) sits at Eva’s hospital bedside, Kit questions Debbie and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) about Eva’s injuries. Kit Green is on the case (Picture: ITV) Carl doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to being honest with the police, but on this occasion, he tells the truth: He offered to help Eva clean up as she wasn’t feeling well. However, when Debbie asserts that she wants to buy Eva some flowers and Carl pulls out a wad of cash, Ronnie and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) have suspicions that he might have robbed the pub and accidentally pushed Eva in the process. Later in the week, Carl is taken in and questioned by police again, but he continues to protest his innocence.
