Iran says four accused of plotting attack killed in Saravan

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its forces killed four people suspected of planning a "terrorist operation" in the Sistan-Baluchestan province. The IRGC said it targeted a “professional terrorist team” that was allegedly planning to attack the city of Saravan, in a statement published by the semi-official Tasnim news agency. The IRGC also said three Iranian soldiers were killed in the operation. There was no further detail in the statement about the fighting, which erupted after security forces allegedly raided a house used by what authorities called “mercenary terrorists”. The IRGC accused the United States and Israel of sowing “insecurity” in Sistan-Baluchestan.
