Today Apple released iOS 27.2 beta 1, skipping over 27.1 entirely in the testing cycle. And among other changes, the new iOS 27.2 update includes the previously announced all-new Health app. All-new Apple Health app debuts in iOS 27.2 beta 1 Last week during its September event, Apple unveiled an all-new Health app that would be coming to iPhone later this year. Now today, beta testers have received the first access to the Health app redesign via iOS 27.2 beta 1. When Apple introduced the new Health app, it emphasized how Apple Intelligence would be used to help users better understand their health. Here’s what the company said: The Health app has been redesigned to dynamically respond to a user’s data using Apple Intelligence, with a new Insights tab that surfaces timely health information and a new Longevity tab that analyzes a user’s longitudinal health data for deeper insights. The Longevity tab includes Health Age, an Apple Watch feature that shows users how certain metrics are tracking relative to their actual age. The Health app also includes movement evaluations that measure flexibility, strength, balance, and more using vision-based AI models on iPhone and heart rate data from Apple Watch. Now today with iOS 27.2 beta 1, the new Insights tab and Longevity tab are both available for testing if you’re a developer. Because the new Health app relies on Apple Intelligence, you’ll need an AI-compatible iPhone to try it out. Certain features require a paired Apple Watch too. So if your iPhone is less powerful than an iPhone 15 Pro, or you don’t have a compatible Apple Watch, the Health app upgrades will be missing. But for everyone else, iOS 27.2 provides a first glimpse at Apple’s expanded vision for the Health app. What do you think of the Health app changes in iOS 27.2?
