The scene left social media users comparing the flight to a “local train” in a video that has gone viral.Instagram user Neeraj Priyanka Choudhary shared the video that was recorded on the IndiGo flight travelling from Thailand’s Krabi to New Delhi. The footage showed several passengers standing in the aisle and moving between seats while handing food to family members. At one point, passengers seated in the first few rows could be seen standing over their seats, leaning back and trying to speak to people sitting behind them. Two cabin crew members were seen moving around the passengers, seemingly trying to manage the situation. The video eventually captured a noisy exchange, with Neeraj’s wife explaining that the passengers were distributing food among themselves. “Chaotic scenes on my flight. A group in rows 1–5 kept shouting, passing food around and ignoring repeated instructions from the cabin crew, disturbing everyone around them. Basic civic sense and respect for fellow passengers matter,” Neeraj wrote in the caption.Watch the video here: The video prompted several comments from viewers, with one person asking whether he had complained to the airline or whether the cabin crew had intervened to stop the food from being distributed inside the aircraft.Responding to the comment, Neeraj said he had tried speaking to the crew but claimed the passengers ignored them as well. He clarified that his concern was not with people eating during the flight, but with them disregarding safety instructions and disturbing other passengers.“Enjoy the food, no issue, but ignoring instructions and laughing loudly is bad,” he wrote.Neeraj further said the seatbelt sign had been switched on because of turbulence when the passengers continued standing and moving around the cabin. He recalled a member of the cabin crew telling him, “Sir and Maam, please sit down. The safety belt sign is on due to turbulence, but they were ignoring them like they were no one.”He also mentioned that a cabin crew member told him, “Sir ye log sun he nahi rahe” (Sir, these people are not listening). The video invited further criticism in the comments, with some viewers suggesting that passengers who repeatedly disturb others or ignore safety instructions should be placed on a no-fly list. Others joked that the cabin had been turned into a “local train”.IndiGo has not yet reacted to the video or the allegations made by the passenger.- Ends
