(Photo: Reuters)An IndiGo flight operating from Doha to Bengaluru was diverted to Muscat on Thursday after one of the operating crew members required urgent medical attention, the airline said.IndiGo flight 6E 1302, which was operating on the Doha-Bengaluru route on September 3, 2026, was diverted to Muscat as a result of the medical emergency involving a crew member.According to IndiGo, the crew member was attended to by a medical team after the aircraft landed in Muscat and is now feeling better. The airline did not disclose further details about the nature of the medical issue.The airline said it has arranged an alternate aircraft along with a new set of crew to continue the flight to Bengaluru. “IndiGo flight 6E 1302, operating from Doha to Bengaluru on 03 September 2026 was diverted to Muscat due to an urgent requirement of medical attention for one of the operating crew members,” the airline said in a statement.“The said crew member was attended to by medical team upon landing and is feeling better now. An alternate aircraft along with a new set of crew has been arranged to continue the journey to Bengaluru,” it added. Passengers on board the diverted flight are currently waiting at Muscat for the onward journey. IndiGo said it is providing refreshments and timely updates to passengers while arrangements are being made for the replacement aircraft.The airline apologised for the inconvenience caused by the diversion and said it was making efforts to minimise the disruption to passengers.“The safety of our customers, crew, and aircraft remains our top priority at IndiGo,” the airline said.The incident is the latest example of an in-flight medical situation requiring an aircraft to divert to an alternate airport.
