The body was discovered in the Vusimuzi section of Thembisa on Saturday morning, 26 September 2026. The South African Police Service (Saps) said more information will be made public after preliminary investigations. PA leader Gayton McKenzie said residents would be given the temporary payment holiday as the party steps up its campaign ahead of the elections. He was speaking at the party’s manifesto launch at the Dr Rantlai Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein, Free State. Picture: X/@_ArriveAlive Sixteen people were injured on Friday when a Toyota minibus taxi crashed into stationary containers in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni. The containers were being used as a tyre repair business. Emergency services in the City of Ekurhuleni said it is suspected that the taxi was travelling at high speed and that its brakes failed as it approached the intersection. The incident happened at the intersection of Eiselen and Sibeko streets.
