Improve civic infrastructure along Vizianagaram routes to Bhogapuram and Visakhapatnam: CREDAI

Bose on Tuesday (October 13, 2026) requested the State government to improve civic infrastructure along the Vizianagaram-Bhogapuram and Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam routes . He said the city had been witnessing rapid progress following a series of development activities undertaken by the government.He said that the construction of a Google data centre near Anandapuram on the Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram route, a Reliance data centre at Bhogapuram and the proposed aviation university near Alluri Sitarama Raju airport would make Vizianagaram a destination for homebuyers in the next few years.Speaking to The Hindu here, Mr. Bose said that a detailed note had been given to the Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kondapalli Srinivas who in turn had promised to bring the request for allocation of more funds for the city to the attention of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.A “Golden era” for the construction industry had begun with a series of developmental activities taken by the government and private companies, he said. “In this scenario, we need to have a planned development for the city to avoid haphazard constructions on the outskirts. The civic infrastructures such as four/six lane roads, dedicated water supply, street lights, market areas, parks are needed to be taken up on a priority basis,” said Mr. Bose.He said that a seminar on ‘civic infrastructure - need of the hour’ would be organised during the annual Home Expo, a property show, to be held on October 24, 25 and 26 near the Ring Road in Vizianagaram. “We will invite senior officials, representatives of various organisations to the seminar and their opinions will be brought to the notice of the government for further follow up action,” said Mr. Bose who is managing director of Pride Developers.
