It comes after Pere Brugal, chief of GM Europe, told the news site last year that the brand would be re-entering “soon,” with plans to launch the Lyriq, which is a rival for the BMW iX5. But a year on, the company has only launched one dealer for right-hand-drive Cadillacs, which is located in Dublin, Ireland. Meanwhile, the outlet said there are only 20 Cadillacs registered in the UK between July 2025 and March 2026 and the majority are EV models. Customers can still buy left-hand drive Cadillac Escalades from a dealership in London. A spokesperson told the outlet: “As the UK market and EV landscape continue to evolve rapidly with new competitors emerging, we are actively reviewing our future Cadillac plans to ensure they remain aligned with market conditions and customer demand, and we will continue to assess future opportunities accordingly.” In the past, the SUV-style motor has struggled to make it in the UK market, with attempts across 1998, 2007 and 2010.
