I posed as a migrant to cross the Channel in a dinghy – French cops are giving people smugglers free lifts back to camps

AN UNDERCOVER reporter crossed the Channel in a small boat posing as a migrant and claims French police give smugglers lifts back to the camps. Footage shows Drogan boarding an inflatable on the northern French coast along with dozens of migrants. After setting off in relatively calm seas, a French police patrol boat approaches, with officers heard warning them of danger ahead by saying in English: “The sea is very rough, here it is quiet, when you go further it’s very dangerous. He claims only the four smugglers accepted — and they were dropped back on the beach to continue ­organising illegal journeys for migrants. Drogan says it took seven hours for the illegal boat to get halfway to Britain. Once in UK waters, his footage shows Border Force staff helping migrants on to a rescue vessel. Drogan said: “I rolled the dice with my life for this investigation, and its findings have only cemented my scepticism towards the establishment.” The Government claimed he had been “reckless”.
