To unfog the most mysterious spots on the first map, you may have to progress in the main story further than you think. Here's how to unfog the map in Phantom Blade Zero's Weeping Creek Valley. How to unlock every optional area in Weeping Creek Valley In Phantom Blade Zero, every region map is clouded until you've found most of the bells (teleport waypoints). Each time you discover a new bell, the surrounding area will be revealed, which means you'll slowly "unfog" the map as you progress. However, since some areas are optional, it's possible to continue the main story without unlocking them. The Weeping Creek Valley map contains three such areas; even if you've reached the next map, the Crimson Forest, you may have missed them. How to unlock the northern part of Weeping Creek Valley To unfog the first location, teleport to the Valley Sha-Chi Tower, 1st Floor bell. Walk into the building, passing the furnace on the right, and look for a hole in the floor (it emits a faint red glow). Drop down. You must defeat its resident mini-boss, Hua, The Betrothed, to unlock the bell and unfog the map. How to unlock the Creek Valley Plains Unfogging the Creek Valley Plains requires some backtracking. First, defeat the Weeping Creek Valley's main boss, The Hunt. Doing so will reward you with The Hunt's weapon, Hunter's Chain Sickle. In other words, you must unlock the Crimson Forest region before you can unlock this optional Weeping Creek Valley area. Once you've got the required weapon, teleport to Valley Sha-Chi Tower Summit. Follow the path across the roof until you see the ledge with the orange-glowing item. Use the Hunter's Chain Sickle to swing yourself onto that ledge and grab the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key. To fully unfog the Creek Valley Plains, interact with these four bells: Graphic: Marloes Valentina Stella/Polygon | Source images: S-Game Long Pillar Overlook, which you'll find by following the main road to the east. The bell is inside one of the houses. Collect the Rusted Loong Key from the treasure chest in the same house. Weeping Creek Long Pillar, which you'll find by entering through the caves northeast of the previous location — use the Rusted Loong Key to unlock the door! Crimson Manor. Pass through the Creek Valley Plains Entrance again, but this time, go left. See the Powderkeg enemy hanging from the ceiling? Lure it to the brittle wall on the left to destroy it and unlock an elevator, leading to the Crimson Manor bell. You'll obtain the Crimson Manor key at a later time, but the map will be unfogged. Valley Sha-Shi Tower Base. Take the same path as described above, but pass the Powderkeg and walk upstairs, where you'll find the final bell. How to unlock the southwest part of Weeping Creek Valley To unfog the southwest part of the Weeping Creek Valley, you must complete the main story in the Crimson Forest (the second region). This means you must defeat Bai Chilian, The Sacrificial Serpent, and reach the Village of Lu for the first time. Once that's done, teleport back to the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley. Remember the guards preventing you from crossing the bridge into the shrouded area? They, along with everyone else in the village, have turned into monsters. Kill them, and you're free to explore this new area.
