It's brining creepy creatures and plenty of reasons to squeeze in a few extra Trials before November rolls around. Of course, surviving a Halloween party hosted by the Entity is a little different from picking out a cute costume and eating your body weight in candy corn. There are new event mechanics to learn, rewards to chase, and plenty of spooky goodies up for grabs. Here's everything you need to know before getting into the festivities! How Does Haunted By Daylight 2026 Work? Haunted by Daylight 2026 introduces updated event mechanics centered around Void Energy, Void Portals, and Void Crystals. Both Survivors and Killers can collect up to eight Void Energy during a Trial. Six Void Portals spawn at the beginning of each Trial. Two are open immediately. The remaining four must be opened using Void Energy. Four Void Haunts also roam the map, searching for Survivors. These creatures dash toward anyone they spot and inflict the Hindered status effect when they land a hit. After attacking, they respawn elsewhere on the map. Here's how each role can collect Void Energy: Role How To Collect Void Energy Survivor Repair Generators, stun or blind the Killer, destroy Void Pumpkins, and interact with open Void Portals. Killer Down or hook Survivors, attack roaming Void Haunts, and destroy Void Pumpkins. Both roles can spend their collected energy on special abilities. Killers can fire a Captured Haunt projectile that damages Survivors and interrupts their actions, teleport to ambush Survivors collecting energy at Portals, or increase their speed when damaging Generators and breaking Pallets or Breakable Walls. Each ability costs four Void Energy, with the action-speed bonus increasing these actions by 30 percent. Survivors have a different set of tools. Every Survivor starts with a Void Crystal, which doesn't occupy their regular Item slot. Spending four Void Energy creates a temporary Fog Cloud that obscures vision and sounds while suppressing Scratch Marks near its center. Alternatively, spending eight Void Energy lets you place the Crystal on an incomplete Generator to repair it automatically at 0.8 charges per second for up to 30 seconds. Remote repairs have a few drawbacks. You can't manually repair the Generator while the Crystal is active, and you won't collect additional Void Energy until the repair ends. The Killer can also destroy the Crystal by damaging the Generator, ending the effect early. What Are The Haunted By Daylight 2026 Rewards and Cosmetics? There are plenty of reasons to participate beyond the unique gameplay. Haunted by Daylight 2026 offers Bloodpoints, Iridescent Shards, exclusive outfits, and other Halloween-themed cosmetics. You can claim login rewards through the Messages from The Fog inbox, accessible from the main menu. Login Reward Details Daily Login Reward 25,000 or 50,000 Bloodpoints, refreshed daily at 15:00 UTC. One-Time Login Reward 100 Dark Trinkets, available once during the event. Dark Trinkets are the event's temporary currency. Earn them by completing Haunted by Daylight quests, then exchange them for event cosmetics.
