If you're reading this, chances are you've finished the main story in Aniimo, and you may have caught a particularly rare companion. Firstly, well done, but now that you've caught the elusive Aniimo, you might be wondering what all these other items are in the Event Shop, particularly the Glimmering Driftshadow. Well, don't worry, because we are here to help. We were also confused at first, but in this guide we'll tell you how to get and use the Glimmering Driftshadow, and also, what we think its "actual" purpose actually is, because there's more to it than just making your Aniimo prettier. How To Get Glimmering Driftshadow You can get Glimmering Driftshadow from the Walking With Irisalis Legendary Journey event. You've probably collected a few Irisalis petals during your time in Aniimo. Well, those Petals are used to help you get your very own Irisalis Aniimo. However, that's only half the story. First, you need to collect 99 Irisalis Petals to craft the Legendary Aniipod, which you can use to capture Irisalis. If you don't even enough, you can easily buy more with Glimmer by repeatedly buying Breezy Mission Letters (each one is 428 Glimmer and gives you 5 Petals). Once you have enough Petals, craft the Legendary Aniipod, and capture your Irisalis. After you do, you'll unlock the ability to buy Glimmering Driftshadow for 2 Irisalis Petals. You won't be able to buy Glimmering Driftshadow until after you've crafted the Legendary Aniipod. How To Use Glimmering Driftshadow To use the Glimmering Driftshadow, open your Aniimo inventory and select an Aniimo that has the Transmogrify option. Currently, only Legendary Aniimo seem to have this option available. You can find the option by selecting your Legendary Aniimo and clicking on the little exclamation mark (the same place where you can customize an Aniimo's appearance). From there, select the Transmogrify option. You'll be taken to a new menu where you'll see your Legendary Aniimo, and you'll see several orbs floating underneath it, each one representing a part of your Aniimo you can Transmogrify. You'll notice that the default option for Transmogrifying is asking for a Radiant Driftshadow (Premium Item), and not the Glimmering Driftshadow we want to use. You need to enable the "Use Exclusively Glimmering Driftshadow" option to make them work. When you do this, you'll also see a message warning you that you won't be able to lock any of your Transmogs, and you'll only be able to Transmog the Color, Wings and Headwear, provided you use enough Glimmering Driftshadow. If the above explanation was confusing, trust us, you aren't alone, so here's what's actually going on: The Transmogrify system is just one big gacha system, albeit, only for cosmetics. Each time you use a Transmogrify item like Glimmering Driftshadow, you'll get a random appearance change for either your Color, Wings or Headwear. You'll only be able to change the Color at first, and need to keep using more Glimmering Driftshadow to even attempt to get different Wings or Headwear. The problem is, even if you get a color or style you like, you can't lock it in if you're using Glimmering Driftshadow. So, to summarize, The Glimmering Driftshadow is a non-premium Transmog item, meant to hook you into Transmogrifying your Aniimo, so you would eventually give in, and spend real money on Radiant Driftshadow - The premium Transmogrifying Item which lets you lock a color you got from the gacha, and eventually get a new appearance for the Body and the Sparkling (you can't customize these with the Glimmering Driftshadow). So, if you really want a good look for your new Legendary Aniimo, be prepared to spend some money and pray to the RNG gods you get the Transmogs you like.
