How To Find Every Whisky Bottle In Marvel’s Wolverine

Although Marvel’s Wolverine is a notably more linear game than Insomniac’s work on Spider-Man, that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing for you to find. Quite the opposite, in fact! One of the main collectibles that you’ll need to keep an eye out for in Wolverine is nostalgia-inducing whisky bottles, which have some bonuses attached. Let's dive into everything you need to know. What Whisky Bottles Do Fittingly for Logan, who is known to be a big whisky fan, each bottle represents a different memory for Wolverine. Once you find one, you can view that memory in the pause menu and learn a little bit more about Logan’s past, usually with Team X. Finding whisky bottles is fairly simple, as Logan specifically tracks their scent during levels with a blue line that’s easy to follow. Logan will also usually make a comment about the whisky bottles to let you know that one is nearby for you to find. Later on in the game, you’ll even unlock an Adaptation that lets you sense where whisky bottles are from a greater distance. You won’t get this until fairly late into the story, but it’s well worth equipping when you do. Beyond unlocking memories for Wolverine, the whisky bottles also award you with AP, which let you unlock and equip more Adaptations. At first, the buffs may seem like a pretty minor part of combat, but they go on to be incredibly helpful and an important part of evening the odds in Logan’s favour. Let's get into how to find all 20 of them. The One Who Got Away The very first whisky bottle that you can find in Wolverine is in The One Who Got Away. Early on in the level as you follow Jean Grey’s destructive trail through the industrial park, head to the right when you get the chance instead of climbing up a pipe to the left. You’ll see a “do not enter” sign that can be smashed to gain access to Callisto’s garage and grab the bottle. Raise Some Hell Wolverine’s second whisky bottle is found in Raise Some Hell, towards the end of the level. After you learn the “hot claws” technique and leave the building full of lava, you’ll be in a big courtyard. Head to the left and you’ll see a yellow door you can kick down to get the game’s next bottle. Strays This chapter has another whisky bottle that’s pretty easy to find. As you’re hunting down Leech’s drawings to try and get him to open up his door, go into Walter’s laboratory. The bottle of whisky can be found towards the back of the lab, making it a pretty easy pickup Something Much Stronger This chapter’s whisky bottle is located pretty early on in the level. As soon as you hear a wolf howling in the distance, head to the right instead of charging ahead and freeing the wolf. You’ll find a cave with the bottle on a higher platform. Knock Knock Knock Knock has one of the trickier whisky bottles in Wolverine, as it can be easy to miss if you’re not taking it slow. After knocking down the relay tower and being saved by Sabretooth, turn around and climb into the wrecked building. The whisky bottle is waiting on a table to reward you for your patience. Mutant Detected This one took me longer to find than I'd care to admit. After the turbine room encounter, keep heading forward until you can go left and towards a locked door. Use the code 5413 to enter the room, which has a vent leading to the whisky bottle. One Last Mission This is perhaps the easiest whisky bottle to find in Wolverine, as it’s tied to an unmissable moment. Right at the start of the mission, you’ll be tasked with talking to Sabretooth on the top floor of the Princess Bar. Once that cutscene is over, the bottle will be sitting on the balcony for you to add to your collection. Get Angry Get Angry has one of the strangest whisky bottle hiding places in the whole game. Once you reach the bar with “the smiling face”, head downstairs and into the toilet. Activate the “kissing toilet” by interacting with the mask on the wall, and you’ll be able to reach the bottle once it opens up a path. You’ll also get a trophy for activating the kissing toilet. Fun! Bad Blood Towards the end of this chapter, you’ll need to climb up a construction site to reach Shiro’s house. At one point in the climb, you’ll kick down a door to reach a new area. Immediately go forward from here, jump down to a lower floor, and follow the path to the right to reach this chapter’s bottle. In The Shadows This is the first chapter in the game to have two whisky bottles to find. The first is found in the open exploration area of the level once you split from Jean. Head to the rooftops by climbing a pipe and then book it towards the Devil Dinosaur statue. The bottle can be found on a nearby rooftop that's facing the statue and close to Shiro's house. The second is a much easier one, as it’s found on a table in the third Hand hideout. You’ll know you’re in the right place if it’s just after you’ve reunited with Jean and she uses a “psychic glamour” on you. Death Comes To Death This chapter's whisky bottle is easy to find, as it's on the mission's normal path. After you get ambushed in the house early on in the chapter, keep going forward, and you'll see the bottle waiting on a crate just before a vent you can jump down. We Were Wrong After your conversation with Essex and going through a hole in the wall to get into a building a little bit into the chapter, follow the footsteps down the road until you reach a crossroad. Instead of going right like you're supposed to, head to the left and towards a truck, which has the whisky bottle behind it. Hell Followed With Him During a set-piece moment later on in the chapter where archers fire on Jean and Logan, keep going until Jean uses rocks to create a platform for you to climb on. As soon as you climb up, head forward until you see a white clothed balcony on the right you can jump over. That path leads to the whisky bottle. Way Down Low This is the other Wolverine chapter with two whisky bottles to find. The first can be found early on in the chapter after you use a severed hand to unlock a door. Defeat the enemies and a sniper will take fire at Jean and Logan. Get to where the sniper is and then immediately turn around to see the platform leading to the bottle. The second bottle is a bit easier to find, thankfully. After you and Jean go on the radio to Lowtown, take the zipwire down to the next set of buildings. Jump forward one building and you'll see a terrace with the whisky bottle sitting on a table. Roll The Dice One of the easier bottles to find in the whole game. Right at the start of the chapter, head upstairs and to the bar at the back. Talk to the bartender to pick up this chapter's bottle. Field Test After you get hit by a truck and into a building, defeat the Sentinels and go up the stairs and out of the door. The whisky bottle is waiting right outside on the path forward, so it's pretty tough to miss. I'm Still Here The very final whisky bottle in Marvel's Wolverine is found early on in the chapter before the noodle bar. You'll want to head to the left until you see a hole in the wall of a red building. That building is actually the Princess Bar, and the whisky bottle is waiting on a table on the top floor. If you've managed to collect every single bottle up to this point, you'll be rewarded with the Midnight Suit and the Full Barrel Silver trophy. Well done, and have yourself a drink to celebrate!
