Sources close to the couple reported that Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, had no issue with the school itself, but struggled to get the kids to the school with their vehicles in convoy – which raised further concerns. A source told HELLO! Magazine: “It’s a real shame, because they absolutely adored the school, the kids and their parents. However, the security teams did not properly check the school run before the first day of term. Archie and Lilibet are to join another school in the area on Monday for their first lessons. The Duke has fought for years for the right to taxpayer-funded police protection in the UK, arguing that the risk to him has not fallen since he quit official duties. He pursued a legal challenge against its removal when it was taken away from him. The appeal lasted until May last year but Harry ultimately lost the case in the Court of Appeal. But a poll found that 63 per cent of the public believe the pair should pay for their own security guards. In further drama, Harry and Meghan forced King Charles to step in and save the Invictus Games from becoming a farce, royal author Phil Dampier has claimed. It was recently announced that Uganda had quit the Duke’s games, which were founded in 2014 for wounded military service personnel and veterans. The move came after a bombshell letter was issued on the King’s behalf which clearly laid out the couple’s status as “private citizens” in the UK instead of working royals. Royal expert Phil Dampier explained the King’s intervention to bring Uganda back into the Invictus Games was likely an effort to keep tensions with his son under control. He claimed: “I think they’ve [the palace] nipped it in the bud, fairly successfully. “There might have been a danger of a domino effect where other countries pulled out. The whole thing could become a bit farcical.” However, the royal author claimed there is likely more drama to come, with the King forced to play whack-a-mole to keep the Sussexes’ antics under control. He added: “They’ve forced the King’s hand. “Before any other countries pulled out and before it became a big drama, they’ve managed to negotiate and placate the Ugandans.
