Yemen's Houthis have claimed responsibility for the attack on the government headquarters in Aden, with its spokesperson, Yahya Saree, describing the building as housing "Saudi war operations room". Saree said any Saudi military or economic presence on Yemeni land would be a legitimate target of the armed forces. The country's Prime Minister Shaya Zindani, who was not injured in the attack, condemned the Houthis' attack on Aden, calling it "cowardly" and a "continuation of their criminal behaviour". He vowed that it would not weaken the resolve of its forces to continue operations against the Houthis on Yemen's south-western Red Sea coast and other front lines.
