Here’s Why Taylor Swift Skipped the Chiefs vs Seahawks Game Last Night

The Kansas City Chiefs played one of their most anticipated games of the season last night against 2025 Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, and nope: Taylor Swift was not in attendance!While many fans expected Taylor to show up at such a major game, her decision to skip isn’t all that surprising. The Grammy winner almost exclusively appears at Travis Kelce’s home games at Arrowhead Stadium, and it’s been this way for a few years. Back in 2024, Page Six reported that there are safety concerns at stadiums other than Arrowhead (which her security team knows well), and a source said “She’s not going anywhere unless she knows the venue intimately and it has been thoroughly scouted and secured in advance.”And privacy can even be an issue at Arrowhead. Podcaster Ashlie Molstad was at the October 18 Chiefs game and said she happened to have seats right in front of Taylor’s suite—which were occupied by fans. “We go to our seats. Everybody is in our seats,” she said on Instagram, “We’re like, ‘Hey, we’re right here. We’re seats five and six.’ And one girl that was standing there with a sign, she’s like, ‘Oh, damn it. You guys were supposed to be late.’ We’re like, ‘Well, we’re not. We’re here.’ They were just annoying. They’re in our face the whole time. People didn’t even look at the field. They’re just standing watching the suite.” Ashlie also spoke about Taylor’s security, saying, “They are not watching the game. They’re watching people. It was kind of wild to see how many people are constantly looking.”So, yeah, if that’s the vibe at Arrowhead, not shocking that Taylor likes to skip away games!
