Here's How To Win A Star Trek Collector Booster Box On MTG Arena

Niall also has a rich history covering triple-A releases, sports games, and PC hardware. If you like the idea of earning your Magic: The Gathering Collector Booster boxes, rather than having to pay for them, then the MTG Arena Direct events should be on your radar. These limited-time events give players the chance to use in-game currency to enter a draft, and if you manage to hit seven wins before you lose three games, then you win a Collector Booster box. Simple, right? These events are expensive to enter given the risk, especially if you're not an experienced draft player, but for those who think they're a talented drafter, the deal is pretty sweet. Star Trek MTG Arena Direct Dates The Star Trek Arena Direct runs from November 13 to November 22. During this time, you can enter the Arena Direct, but it may close early if all available stock is won. These events typically start at 1 pm PT (4 pm ET, 9 pm GMT, 10 pm CET), and sign-ups will end at 8 am PT (11 am ET, 4 pm GMT, 5 pm CET) on the dates above. Once sign-ups close, you have a three-hour window to complete your draft to ensure you still get all your games in. Sign-ups may be closed early if the number of participants exceeds the number of physical prizes left to win. If all physical prizes are claimed but you reach the required win total, you may receive a cash prize instead. Wizards will clarify this in the official rules closer to the event. Rules & Rewards The cost of entering a Magic: The Gathering Arena Direct is 8,000 gems; this is up from the 6,000 gems it costs to enter the Reality Fracture event, but Universes Beyond sets are more expensive, following the standard set by Marvel Super Heroes. While the full rewards breakdown isn't available yet, we can use the Marvel Super Heroes Direct structure as a base. If the two are identical, then the rewards you can earn from the Star Trek Direct are as follows: 0-2 Wins: Nothing. 3 Wins: 3,600 gems and 8 MTG Arena packs. 4 Wins: 7,200 gems and 16 MTG Arena packs. 5 Wins: 10,000 gems and 24 MTG Arena packs. 6 Wins: 14,400 gems and 32 MTG Arena packs. 7 Wins: A Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Collector Booster Box. Obviously, this further highlights the risk of paying such a high entry fee, as you need to win four games to get your money back, so to speak. Format This event uses a single-pick draft format. This means the drafting process is the same as Premier Draft, and you'll be picking 45 cards in total. This doesn't include land, though if you want to play special/dual lands, you'll need to select them during the draft. Once drafting is complete, you can assemble your deck, add basic lands, and trim your deck to a minimum of 40 cards, or play with more if you feel it's appropriate. As for the matches, each one is a basic best-of-one using Standard rules. This means both players start with 20 health, and there are no sideboards involved. You can change your deck between matches, but once you queue for matchmaking, your deck is locked until the game ends. Any cards you draft during the event go to your inventory, including rares and mythics, but you cancollect a maximum of four copies of each card.
