Henry Cavill Is Officially Releasing His Own Video Game

Published Nov 6, 2026, 5:45 AM EST Paul Farrelly is a Contributing Writer for Screen Rant’s Gaming section and the founder of GeekGasm.org, a site dedicated to celebrating all things gaming, from triple A blockbusters to weird and wonderful indie hits. Based in Louth, Ireland, Paul has spent years writing about games, pop culture, and tech, turning his lifelong love of gaming into a career that lets him talk (probably too much) about what makes this industry so endlessly fascinating. He’s previously written and collaborated with several entertainment outlets, including LADbible, gaining a wide perspective on how gaming fits into today’s pop culture conversation. His work blends genuine enthusiasm with thoughtful analysis, exploring how design, storytelling, and community have made gaming one of the most creative mediums around. When he’s not glued to a controller or keyboard, Paul’s usually spinning vinyl, plotting his next horror marathon, or debating which Resident Evil entry really reigns supreme. Sign in to your ScreenRant account What can't Henry Cavill do? The man has played iconic characters such as Superman, Sherlock Holmes, Geralt of Rivia and will soon be leading the charge in Warhammer 40K. Oh, and he's about to star as Connor MacLeod in the upcoming Highlander movie. And when he's not stealing hearts and scenes on the big screen, he's building his own PCs or painting Warhammer figurines. The man has no limits, and he's about to add game developer to his list of talents. Thanks to a collaboration with Google, Henry is about to set the world right and keep mustaches front and center for the month of November. Poking fun at how his own glorious face warmer was removed for reshoots of the Justice League using sloppy CGI, Henry has vowed to set the world straight and make a game dedicated to mustaches. Titled Mustache Protocol and made using his Googlebook and a healthy dose of AI, Henry is currently crafting a 2D retro side scroller with himself and his bushy lip warmer taking center stage. In a brief clip on YouTube, Henry Cavill shows the world how easy it is to create a game using his Googlebook, and its suite of AI tools. Putting the controversy of using AI in the gaming industry aside for a moment, Henry is trying to do something good this Movember. For every play of his 16-bit game Mustache Protocol, Google will donate $11 to a number of charities for men, including charities focussed on mental health, suicide prevention and cancer research. Funds raised will be capped at a staggering $500,000, which means we can all do something good while gaming. Mustache Protocol itself looks like a colorful fun side scroller which doesn't take itself too seriously. Henry's main weapon in the game will be a trusty mustache comb which seems to have been imbued with lightning powers. His two pet dogs, Cal and Baggins, will also feature in the game as muscle-bound anthropomorphic high-fiving brothers. This is only part one of a three-part short video series, so hopefully, we will see more details from the game as the series unfolds. Google While most gamers will be fully consumed by the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI this November, Henry Cavill has other ideas. Any supporters of the Movember campaign who also like gaming should try to tear themselves away from Vice City even for a few minutes to play Mustache Protocol and help raise some much-needed funds for charity. After all, who doesn't want to hit bald villains with scissors for hands with a giant electrified mustache comb, right? No specific release date has been given for Mustache Protocol other than to say it will release this month. We're sure gamers will learn more over the coming days as the web series unfolds. With November already stacked with huge titles like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and a little-known indie game called Grand Theft Auto VI, it's important to spare a few moments and do something nice for charity. We all know at least what game Henry Cavill will be playing this month, and it doesn't feature a guy with pointy ears and a green cap!
