Hendricks Family Dentistry celebrates milestone with a party

Hendricks first opened his practice in the Inner Circle office building. On Sept. 18, 2026, now-retired Dr. Hendricks was on hand to celebrate more than 50 years in business at Hendricks Family Dentistry on Center Road with his son, Jamison, who joined the practice in 2007. The building, constructed in 1988, was the site of a special celebration that was free and open to the public, featuring a bounce house, face painting by Keri Sparenga, balloon art by Rainbow Rae, and free ice cream from the Lovable Crush ice cream truck. The neighboring business, Esbi Salon, opened its rear lot for the visitors cars so that tents could be placed in the Hendricks’ parking lot.The Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance celebrated with a ribbon cutting marking the longevity of the practice. Executive Director, Debbie Boehmke opened the ceremony, by welcoming those in attendance.“When you think about 50 years in business, it really is remarkable,” she said. “Businesses don’t reach a milestone like this without earning the trust of their customers and becoming a part of the community they serve.”She noted the staff and family members, all in their special shirts and the Chamber members in attendance. The practice also now includes Drs. Tonya Frys and Anthony Lyamichev.The ceremonial ribbon cutting included staff, family, Chamber members and city officials.Sam Boyer“What I also love is that while this practice,” Boehmke said, “is that while this practice has such a wonderful history, they continue to look toward the future – investing in new technology, expanding the services they provide and continuing to grow right here in Brunswick.”She presented Jamison Hendricks with a congratulatory document from the Chamber board of directors, along with a proclamation from the Medina County Commissioners. A representative from the office of State Rep. Max Miller also provided a proclamation as well as City Council Vice Chair, Joe Delsanter, who presented a proclamation from the mayor and city council.In response, Dr. Jamison Hendricks talked about his dad who taught his children about caring for other people. He gave credit to the staff, who over the years helped to make the business feel like family. He noted that several of the original staff members, now retired, were in attendance.Many of the guests were astounded by the garden at the rear of the property. It was long a joke that Dr. Gary was a farmer at heart and his beautiful garden filled with fruit and vegetables is testimony to that. He and his wife, Gay, spend a lot of time working to keep it so bountiful.Once the ribbon was cut, guests were invited tour the building if they wished, but definitely were told to enjoy the treats.
