Most recently, as Executive Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company and the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, he managed the organizations’ day-to-day operations and financial performance, worked closely with the Board on strategy, served as a key government relations and public spokesperson, and led significant organizational and leadership transitions while growing the organizations’ donor base and broadening its audience reach.During his tenure, Arthurs developed major strategic partnerships, expanded community programming and generated new revenue streams. In 2025, Soulpepper welcomed more than 200,000 attendees. Previously, Arthurs served for eight years as CEO of the National Theatre School of Canada, where he oversaw two campuses encompassing 110,000 square feet and a workforce of 70 full-time and 320 part-time employees.
