Xbox's latest round of bad news has finally struck, as the company has officially announced its next round of layoffs following this summer's brutal reset that saw 1,600 people lose their jobs. As part of the ongoing reset, Xbox has now detailed certain shifts within the company, starting with the complete gutting of Halo Studios. Despite having released a semi-successful remake of the original game earlier this year, Halo Studios has been hit hard with layoffs, and has essentially had the Halo name taken from it. Now confirmed by Xbox after initial rumors started circulating, Activision has taken the Halo brand and the studio will officially develop the next Halo game.
